内容提要：There is a general consensus among the UN members that the Security Council must be reformed. Many proposals from different regions and countries on how to reform the Security Council have been put forward. However, of all the proposals, the African Union's proposal has been described as a “hardliner maximalist position” and “unrealistic”. Therefore, this research looks at the challenges and possible solutions for the African proposal.
